GeForce 8800 Series

I have been running on my lousy GeForce 6500 for a while now, and I think, finally, it is time for a New Graphic Card. Since the 9000 series is out , I think the prices for the 8800 series might of dropped but I am not sure.

What would you guys recommend me? I would want a card that just suits my type of games - The Battlefield series. I want to be able to play them on high graphics and don't demand more. It should not be over 150 €
I have browsed the Web a little bit, and the prices for each card vary, and the price differences for the same card are sometimes huge.
I looked at a card called XFX GeForce 8800 GS, and found a site where they sell them for 105€ , then I click on somewhere else and it gives me the price 224 €. Question

Also what internet site would you recommend to buy a Graphic Card. I know that Bax has a lot of experience buying new parts for his PC. Smile

I would recommend you the HD 4870 from ATI. It has the best price performance so far and it is a huge success. ATI could sell plenty of them. You would do pretty much good if you invest in such higher middle card. You can play BF in higher res, and also tweak up some graphics ^^
